Default Secrets to getting old maintenance histories?

Hello guys;

I purchased my 1997 Coupe a couple of months ago. Among other things, I've been working to compile a complete maintenance history on the car...or as complete as I can get it.

I've got the carfax report.

I've got complete records for 2003 - today.

I've got a "Vehicles Inquiry" document from Jaguar with the build history, component numbers and "Claimed Field Service Actions."

Here's my problem: the Jag document shows that Service Actions were performed at Bob Dunn Jaguar of Greensboro, NC, Madison Jaguar of NJ, and Scott Jaguar of Charlotte between 1998 - 2001. All three of these service departments are telling me their records "purge" after five years and the early records for the car are gone.

Does anyone know any tricks for digging up old Service Action details?

Thanks.
