I did a search but cant seem to find a photo or schematic of the module that works the fob, etc. I know it's in the trunk somewhere and has an antenna attached to it.

The fob is not working, but it's good. My Jag mechanic tried two with same model number, and they didn't lock the doors either. So I need to look at the module to see if the antenna is lose or some wires are.

Can anyone give me an idea where it is and what it looks like?

Under the fusebox in the trunk.

Disconnect the battery, unbolt the fusebox and remove the plastic wire harness clamps. Then flip the fusebox over and it just snaps out.

 

Its under the fuse holder in the trunk. These key fobs must be programmed to work with each car so just taking a like key fob from another XK8 wont work.
