Self Leveling Headlights Question

Self Leveling Headlights Question
I have been scouring through the headlamp threads trying to find any repairs made to the self leveling headlight system. My 2004 USA XK has the HID lamps, but they do not seem to change height at all. When I turn on the lights, the beams do not move from a fixed position. Can someone direct me to any threads involving diagnosis and repairs to these? I have not been able to download the JTIS for some reason. Thanks in advance!

here is the procedure from the JTIS for adjusting:
Headlamp Adjustment Vehicles With: High Intensity Discharge Headlamps
Start and run the engine.
The headlamps must be switched ON for 30 seconds before carrying out this procedure to allow the headlamp bulb to warm up.
Switch on the low beam.
Prepare the vehicle for headlamp adjustment.Place the vehicle on a level surface. Before adjusting the headlamps, check them for faulty lenses, reflectors and blackened bulbs, and install new components as necessary.Make sure that the tires are inflated to the correct pressure. The vehicle must be at normal unladen weight.
Normalize the suspension.
Adjust the headlamps.

With self levelling HID's, when you startup at night, both headlamp beams should rise to maximum elevation and then lower to the correct level. If yours aren't moving at all then it's not an adjustment issue.
The lamps are not wired directly to the switches. Each switch provides a signal to the Body Processor Module which interprets the signal as a request to switch on a specific lamp.
Provided the headlamps are working, a leveling fault is likely to be with the Leveling Sensors or the Leveling Module rather than the BPM.
JTIS is of no help at all here as it simply states that all tests must be carried out with the Jaguar PDU (Portable Diagnostic Unit). In a situation like this, harness and connections should be checked first to eliminate the simplest possible cause.
