What is the diameter and thickness of the shock mount bushings? The donut and such?

 

The two plates that sandwich the rubber donut are 6 1/4 inches in diameter. I did not measure the donut before I installed it, but I would guess 3/4 inch uncompressed.

Question, does the shock mount consist of two bushings?

 

Yes, there is the large donut and smaller cylindrical bushings. You can see the bushings in the kit here: Welsh Enterprises, Inc - Jaguar XK8 / XKR (97-06) Front Suspension Parts - Front Shock Mount Bushing Kit - Urethane - XK8

The kit has been said to be difficult to assemble and not worth the trouble for the difference in cost.

 

I'm not planning on using a kit. I was thinking of doing the cutting board thing I saw in another thread.
