Has anyone removed the side moldings form their early xk8? I think the car would look much better without them, though you have to take more care where you park for sure

 

I have not, but I agree it gives them a pretty slick look. Not sure how difficult it would be, or how much protection they provide.

Funny enough, Rothwell and I were just talking about this the other day.

Here's a picture when we got 3 members together for lunch, the later models (X103) to the right did not have them.

They are simply double side taped, I removed them when wrapping my car to wrap everything them then put double side tape and reapplied them...Wish I didn't now
