Default Silver brake pad material?

Can someone please hurry up and invent some silver brake pad material? You have to clean and shine them, and then in one little ride they look like &*^% again!

I just saw something Billy Mays was working on called Unobtanium Polish.
But he passed away before the formula was divulged.

But seriously, what pedals are they. You may be able to have them powder coated with a clear epoxy . But there cannot be any thing else on the pedal. Just all steel. No rubber or paint.

Who is under the seat and can really see the things any way.

I assume you are talking about the dirty wheels syndrome. Only way to clear that up is to replace your brake pads with less dirt spitting ones.

If you are looking for a cleaner for your wheels I have been using Westley’s Bleche Wite and it cleans not only my tires but makes my chrome rims clean. I get it from my local WalMart or Autozone.

Disclaimer If you elect to use it test it first to be sure it does not stain your rims.

Gus, I use the same cleaner for my wheels, and it is the best that I have found.

I am not talking about "dirt", I am talking about the particulates that come from the brake pads that are black and get all over the wheels. If they could figure out how to make the pads silver, then you would still get the particulates, but they would not be nearly as noticeable.

have you tried ceramic pads? I found that there is much less dark dust deposited on the wheels/rims now that i changed to them.

Kevin, the Akebono Euro's on either aftermarket or OEM rotors make a huge difference. Price them when looking, alot of members can vouch for their use.
