This started over winter.

I have tried a little grease to any part of the mechanisms in the top of the window frame i can reach and it still bangs at me.

What happens:
When lowering the roof, there is a delay of 5-7 seconds as everythong starts to wind in and build tension, then a single bang/thwack/thump. The noise is coming from the upper/right side of the winscreen frame and I think one of the locking parts is catching / hard to release so when it does, it does so with some force.

Is this a bad thing

Is it a DIY job

Is it costly...

Hoping one of you will have experince in this area.
