Default Spark Plugs

What is the recommendation from forum Gurus regarding new spark plugs for a 2002 XKR?

I have use NGK Iridium IX in the last few supercharged cars I have had, a Mini with a pulley and now the XKR. They are a little more expensive but all around I've been happy with them.

I decided to go a couple of steps cooler when I installed the twin screw, but that isn't strictly necessary.

Just found an old thread with some part numbers:

Gotta agree with Charlie. I go for the Iridiums now as well. My first experience was with a supercharged Buick 3800. Tried a bunch of things to clear a recurring code AFTER putting in new "normal" plugs. New plug wires; a new coil; even platinum plugs. Put in a set of Iridiums and not only did the code(s) disappear forever, but gas mileage and general driveability improved.

I'm sold. Iridiums go in all my engines now.

Check around first though. I found a great sale at NAPA for some Autolites.

Ciao!!!

The attached link is to the vehicle specification sheet for your car. Look on page 21 for the plugs required with the gap specs. I have used Bosch plugs in my cars with no problems but none are supercharged. It is recommended by many to use NGK Iridium plugs they say they work well in the XKR’s

Yup. Imagine that. The link called for Iridiums. Nice to know I've done "SOMETHING" right!! (makes up a little bit for all the "other" things I've done - lol)

Thanks Gus!
