Default Spark plugs

I am going to replace the spark plugs in my 01 XKR soon. In researching NGK Iridium plugs, I get much conflictinginformation. Has anyone used the NGK Iridium plugs on the 4.0 supercharged motor? What plug did you use?

Do you have the part number for the plugs you used?

Thanks for the info. I'm going to order some. My mechanic wants to charge me $28 ea. + labor to install them.

That is WAY OVER PRICED. BUT...... he is throwing in labor.

your cost
28.99 x 3 = 231.92

6.99 a plug x 3 = 55.82

you cant blame the guy for trying to make a buck. but if you are able to do it yourself, your better off. Have you done plugs on your jag before? it takes almost no special tools and is about a 45min job. for 176.10 its worth the 25mins.

I bought the plugs for the $6.99. My mechanic lets me buy parts if I can get them cheaper and just charges labor for the work. He is really pretty good. I may give it a try though, as I have replaced plugs before, but not on a Jag.
