Question Spark Plugs Again!!!

OK. Maybe I missed the thread, but I cannot find the proper NGK plug for my 2000 XKR.
The NGK Canadian and US site do not list a plug, however the UK site does.

A call to the Canadian NGK Product Coordinator, Yannick Diamani confirmed there is no NGK listing in Canada.

Quote:Because NGK Spark Plugs Canada Ltd does not have a listing, I am not able to provide an answer as to whether the recommended plug BKR6EIX will be good or not.
We would not want to be held accountable for providing you with the wrong spark plug for your vehicle, should anything go wrong.

What plug do you fellow Jag members recommend? I haven't pulled a plug yet to see whats in it, but from what I have read on JagForum NGK is the way to go.

Maybe the dealer is the only way to go......

Try O'Reilly Auto Parts. I had the same issue with NGK showing no listing for my 2000 XK8, but O'Reilly showed several NGK plugs, including two Iridium: BKR5EIX-11 and IFR5N10. I bought the BKR, and when I pulled the old plugs, they were the IFR plugs. They also list platinum NGK for less money.

Just a follow up, I noticed that ALLDATADIY lists Jag # AJ84575 (NGK Iridium) for my 2000 XK8 4.0. I went to a spark plug cross-reference and it showed NGK IFR5N10 as the equivalent to the Jag number. As far as I can determine the BKR has the same specs, but also a tapered ground electrode and very slightly different taper at the base of the center electrode. So that is one more bit of info.
