Default Please ID - EGR, Water or Other ?

Not wishing to hijack Rui 's AJ26 engine thread, I "borrowed" one of his photos which very clearly shows the section of the intake manifold under the throttle body. Thanks Rui ! (Rui's photo is better than mine.)

Traveling into this section is a large hose fitting, along with a small hose fitting to which it seems likely that a vacuum line (?!) will attach. My question is, what sort of hose attaches to the large hose fitting? Water, EGR or other? There wasn't anything attached to these hose fittings when I pulled the throttle body on my '97 so I am at a loss.

Any help that pushes me in the right direction is appreciated. I can (usually) pick up the trail in one of the (many) repair manuals if I have a hint.

Throw me a vowel please !

Thank you Oyster....I ran long hoses from the plug ends before putting the throttle body back in place. Now I can bolt the throttle body back down - and figure out where to attach the hoses. Also glad it's not a water hose. That would have been troublesome.
