Question for my fellow board members.....
do you guys ever look in the VENDOR category for anything related to your Jags ? I know I have when I was looking for aftermarket parts (Mina) but curious if others do also.
I am asking because I used to own a small company that modified diecast collectible cars to match peoples real cars which I sold 3 years ago and was thinking of playing in that field again, as a business, since I kind of miss it.
Anyway, since (maybe not this subforum) there are many who own Jags but cannot find a matching one in diecast I was going to start advertising on the vendor page but I am just curious as to its viability and click through.
Any input would be appreciated, its not that I cant afford to spend the small amount to advertise but curious if people even look there for things.
TIA,
John

While I love this board, more so that I haven't been on the "other" one in years, to have 194 views and not one person answer either YES or NO if they have visited the vendor page is a little disheartening. I am actually rather shocked, simple question (long story getting to it) and a simple answer yet nobody comments.
To be honest I can't say whether I've looked under the vendor list unless looking specifically for something, but if all vendors rotate through the directory on the right hand of the screen, the icons do catch my eye from time to time.
John, the vendor section is obviously there for vendors to make posts about their company and products, yes I believe they are viewed by members
How much, how often I hear you ask?
The answer is I just don't know.
However, over and above that we here at JF like to work as closely with our vendors as is possible. The aim is to promote them / their company and their goods as much as possible, whilst getting the absolute best deal for our members - everybody wins
From what you say initially, a vendor account may not be for you John but we can check that out if required
I'm sure we can work something out
Best

John, I've had a few Series III Jags, one of which I restored. I didn't belong to the forum then but have used some of the vendors.
Like Torrid, I notice the pop ups to the right. I don't have enough issues with my car frankly to have the need but I'm linked to some of them, not all.

Thanks for the insight guys. Been tied up this week with a health issue so I couldn't respond quicker. Jim, thanks for that info also. I have talked with Internet Brands about a few forums where I believe my diecast modifying services would be of interest to its members. Being a paid vendor lets me "hock" my wares on the sub forums directly with no repercussions which was more to my liking. This allows me to post pictures of some diecasts I have modified as an example. Again, thanks for info from those who posted, sadly while laid up in the hospital this week my R developed the dreaded dropped front end syndrome so hopefully I will find the time this weekend to see where the air is leaking out.... its been in the 40's overnight here so I know what to look for.
