Is it a speaker?
My 2001 XK8 has what looks like a small speaker grill on the front side of the post near where the seat belt is located. It is on the passenger side only. I don't hear any sound coming from it when the radio is playing. Is this a speaker or something else?

Occupancy Sensor for the Airbag SRS (Supplementary Restraint System).

Just hope you never need to know anything more about the SRS - faults can be a nightmare to troubleshoot!
