Default Splash Guards

I have recently seen two X100 XK8’s with small splash guards attached to the upper corner of the rear wheel opening and continue down. They do not go below the fender. They are not a mud flap. They’re only stick out about 1-2 inches.
Was this a factory option? I have not been able to find them.

I think they were on the Silverstones with the 20" wheels. Listed as an R performance option.

Look at item 10.

i believe that in Europe they are required as wheels are not permitted to protrude past the bodywork.

my car has the Jaguar mud guards at all four wheel wells. on a darker car they look fine and really work well to keep the body clean. most agree that on a lighter colored car, not so nice.

I purchased a 2004 xkr in 2018 and they weren’t on it. That doesn’t mean it never had them. I have seen them on a 2001 xkr and a 2006 xkr Victory Edition.
i will check with the local Jaguar Dealer.
thank you
