and sorry, no the switch is fully visable,, it just doesnt stay down when pressed,, its always in S mode.... I understand the plastic facia/bezel needs to be removed to gain access to the switch.
Whats the best way of removing the bezal without snapping the tangs? (snapped one already! try to pull the bezal)

The bezel is held on by four clips that can be released by pushing in a credit card on all four corners. you can feel it when sliding the card up and down. Just push it in gently and each corner comes up. good luck.
When my sport switch broke thru the bezel, I had to replace the entire bezel piece...$110 from a dealer. If that is the case with yours, send a PM to Ken@britishparts (a member here)...he's in houston and can get you most OEM parts for around 50-60% dealer price.
