Squeaking Noise Drivers door
I have a 2001 Jaguar XK8 convertible. Best car ever. I have a squeaking noise coming from the area of the driver's door. The noises exists regardless of window up or down, top up or down and if the door is open or closed (I would drive at low speed with the door open and still hear the noise). The noise is initiated after hitting very small bumps. I have greased the door hinges, greased the weather stripping, and when I bounce the front or back of car there is no noise. I am convinced it is coming from inside the door. I am thinking of buying a cheap stethoscope from amazon to identify exact location of noise.
If the noise continues my next move is to drive to the Stratosphere Casino and jump from the top of the world.
Any suggestions would be a lifesaver.
thank you

My car came with an annoying squeak eminating from the drivers door area, any bump in the road would present the said squeak. It turned out to be caused by the seat squab pressing against the hand brake lever, the leather? cover moved against the internal steel lever and squeaked. Took the cover off, stuck some thin fabric around the steel, put cover back on, squeak free zone.
Thank you. I was able to identify the driver's side strut. I would have bet the mortgage it was coming from the door. I put some WD40 which works for now. I pit the vehicle away during the Vegas summer and back on the road in October.
Thanks again for the suggestion. You are a good soul.
