Default Stability Control Failure

Stability control failure. What should I do to diagnose the problem? Any ideas of what it could be?

Is your abs light on also? Here is some info from jagrepair.com to get you started:

There is a lot more available there. One thing to note: The resistance of the sensors is usually 1000- 1040 ohm. If the sensors and harnesses check out it is probably the solder connections to the abs pump. This is a diy, or you can send it to various repair services found on ebay.

Mine did it from time to time as well. Usually when I am in reverse turning out of a parking space. It's one of my front wheel sensors and when we had the springs changed, I stopped by and cleaned the sensors and it hasn't happened since.

This happens to me a few times each year, usually after a tire/wheel wash or driving through a deep puddle. Light goes on for the most 3 starts then it's fine. Going to remove sensor and clean soon. Jack

Welcome to the forum. If you are having ABS problems please start a new thread instead of tacking on to one that is several years old, and include the year and model of your car.

If you haven't already done so, please visit the new member area and introduce yourself. Link:
