Stability control failure - what am I missing here?

Default Stability control failure - what am I missing here?

When I bought my 99 it had the abs light and Stab cont fail lights on. I scanned and found an 1155 code set, then tested the circuits and determined that both leads near the LF wheel sensor were internally broken, so I repaired them and cleared the codes. Upon starting the car the lights came right back on again . I then scanned with live data and see that the LF wheel is traveling 32.5 KPH wile sitting in the garage…. huummmm. I have checked the circuit board solder joint and it was fine, although I did go over it again anyway wile I had it apart. I've tested the LF sensor circuit many times and done the wiggle test etc., but it always tests good. the sensor is clean and I did replace it with another used one I had here, with identical results.
I guess my question then is, has anyone else seen this false wheel motion on live data?? bad module perhaps?? intermittent connection in the LF sensor circuit?? I've about run out of other options. any ideas out there??

You need to drive the car to get rid of the code. That is, unless the abs module has an internal fault.

I had the same codes on my 99, when I got it. I removed the 4 wheel speed sensors, cleaned them up, especially sanding the brass contact, that mounts under the bolt, and where the bolt goes through holding the sensor in place. The sensors come out real easy, because they have a plastic housing. After driving the car for awhile, both faults were gone, the next time I drove the car. While you have the car in the air(on jack stands), it would be a good time to grease the inner and outer U joints on the rear axles, and anything else with a zerk fitting. These 2 jobs are probably the easiest on the whole car......Be cool....Mike

It's been driven numerous times. so it must be the second option.

Sensors have been cleaned, etc. I did clean the brass reinforcement, but I've wondered if that actually provides a ground or not. I'm thinking, not, as there wouldn't be much of a ground circuit available through the ball joint grease and A arm cushions anyway .

I had a C1155 on my XK8 when I bought it, and couldn't get rid of it, finally replaced the module. You might try contacting ASI and maybe send them the module. But first swap the front sensors and cables to see if the code moves.
