Start-up procedure
I always wait 'til the second bong before turning the key to the crank position, then hit Sport Mode and DSC Off. The anti-lock brakes will sometimes kick in at just the wrong time if the battery gets a little low. If it were possible I would disable the DSC entirely. It has only caused trouble for me.
Well i'm sure of the mind this 98 i have is a computer with wheels - so turn the key on and system check
comes on in the info display along with several lights - I do wait perhaps 5 seconds for all of this to go out
before I start it - my late model f150 is the same way if I don't wait a bit after key is on for it to boot the 120v power
inverter will not come online
