Default Starting my 'winter project' soon!

My parts arrived last week, so sometime in the next week or two I'll have my intercooler pump upgraded and a limited slip differential installed. I've been driving a little more spirited just to feel my rear end give out where it shouldn't. It'll be interesting to see how much better the rear end feels afterwards. I'm hoping for better hard acceleration traction, especially in turns. I'm fairly certain that I'll be happy.

This is in preparation for Avos' twin screw Stage 2 upgrade which has already been paid for. I don't want to add all that horsepower without getting the LSD installed first.

OS Giken TCD LCD and the Bosch 010 intercooler pump:

You may want to give the gears a shot peen treatment while there out, its relatively cheap and does add a little extra strength.

Neat stuff and I figure that's the next thing on my list.

It might be interesting to compare notes as I'm doing more or less the same project but the other way around. There is a twin screw sitting on my bench, but no LSD in the car yet.

Big fun, Xeno. Keep us posted and remember the pics. I wouldn't mind seeing a pic of the old diff, either.

Best of luck with the new toys.

Yeah, I will have the gears shot peened before the LSD is replaced.

It's been a little damp around here, but even when it's been dry I've been giving it a little more gas than I should be just to see how far I can push the diff with the traction control on and off. The stock diff is definitely squirrelly around turns. At low speed it's mostly controllable and a little fun, at higher speeds it's a bit scary. I'm wondering how much less I'll be getting DSC warnings after. I know I get them all the time if I'm driving spirited now.

I just wanted to take this picture because I won't be seeing much of these parts after I install them. lol

I'll try to get a shot of the old sitting next to the new while the gears are getting shot peened.
