I will need to think about looking at the super charger at some point as it has a slight rattle when cold, but disappears when warm. has anyone experienced this issue, and had success in fixing it. Many thanks. Anthony.

 

Have you changed the S/C oil lately ?

Mine looks and smells completely used up by 20,000 miles. It goes in looking like the old 3 in 1 sewing machine oil, very thin and colorless. In about 20,000 miles it’s black and considerably thicker.

PS: many of these cars have a noticeable piston slap /rattle until the engine is throughly warmed up. It’s not something to worry about on most cases. Could that be what you are hearing ?
