Suspension parts crossover 1998 XK8 to 2001 XKR
Just bought a 98 XK8 as a driver ,I also have an 2001 XKR parts car,, just by looking brakes dont look much different/bigger, are they better?
Is there is any difference in springs, sway bars, etc that would be worth swapping from the XKR to the xk8??

They are different although they should all fit on no problem. Should! Brakes are better with the Brembo brake calipers although I don't know how much better. All I can say is my XKR with Brembos stops really fast when needed. The only problem you might have is if you have CATS suspension, although you could retrofit it onto an XK8 without CATS you would need to install all the sensors and wiring loom for it as well. Probably not even worth it anyway.
Brembos were an option, not necessarily fitted. The difference would be quite apparent.
l don't think standard fitout on the R will be any different to the xk8 unless one or more of the packages available were fitted.

The handling package option available for coupes only results in a ride height 10 -15 mm lower than standard. Otherwise xk8 and xkr will have same ride height.
