Not too long ago I helped someone with his tail light problem and now I have the same problem. Cleaned all contacts and tension adjusted. Goes away and then comes back, especially when turn siginal is on and brake is applied. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Could it be a faulty earth wire somewhere?

Brilliant and simple! I had the same issue, but squirting electrical contact cleaner into the bulb holes, re-seating my bulbs, and making sure the harness was in tight resolved this issue for me a month ago. If it comes back, I'm regrinding.

One of my lights went all wonky at one point- the top left and top right bulbs illuminated on brake, and I think the turn signal flashed the brake light. Really odd. Closest thing to an electrical issue I've had, but no more.

 

im guessing its the right tail light thats the culprit am wondering if you get a bulb failure message when you go in reverse? i took the connector apart at the rear rt taillight and found a bad pin thats causing the problem one of the pins keeps falling out.{believe it was the third from the right looking at the male end. i could jump the connector but will find a car thats parting out hopefully and salvage the connectors from it .
