Default Testing seat motors

Following advice from forum members, I was able to get the seats to move fore and aft to remove them from the car. Because of all the motors and electrical connections within the seat back and seat bottom frame, I disassembled the seat to (1) make it easier to transport to the upholstery shop and (2) check the functionality of the seat motors.
As per instructions received here I connected Terminals 7 and 8 of the SD3 connector to ground and was ableto get the corroded seat to move fore and aft.
Can anyone tell me which terminals on the SD3 connector I have to use to check the motor for the seat back recline and the headrest motor. The passenger seat does not have a motor to adjust the height of the seat even though it has 3 switches. I want to get this serviced before I put the seat back together. I am inspecting the seat module to see if any of the circuits are damaged/broken. The left side seat moves fore and aft with the seat switch but does not recline nor does the headrest move up/down.
Thanks.

You need to study the electrical guide to find all the connections.
Here is a TSB (Gus has all this on his site) that we got at the dealer decades ago.

@motorcarman Thank you for the attached file. I think you misinterpreted what I was asking. I need to physically apply 12v to the motors via the connectors on the SD3 or any other connectors to verify the harness is good and the motors are working. If needed, replace any bad ones before they all get covered up by the new upholstery. Once I know they work, I will be able to use the troubleshooting file you sent to diagnose any additional problems regarding the various modules associated with the seats. I was asking just in case someone else had done this before and know which terminals were used to activate the various options the seats may have. Other than that, I will have to go to Staples and have them blow up the electrical schematics I have for the 2001 XK8 seats in order to read them properly. I have a problem reading fine print even with my glasses on. If you think I am asking too much. I apologize in advance. I will find a way to figure it out.

@sanchez I agree the wiring guide diagrams are small print for older eyes - I used an illuminated magnifier which helps. I referenced the control module pin identification on page 29 of the attached alongside Fig. 12.1 (mine has memory seats and is a 2003) - it seems that seat base back up/down are on pins 5 & 6, seat base front up/down are on pins 3 & 4, backrest back/fro are on pins 1 & 2, and of course seat base back/fro on pins 7 & 8.
I'm looking forward to diagnosing my inoperable seats which both gave up after I took out the drivers seat to replace the green shower lines :-)
Hope this helps.

I was able to test all 5 motors on the passenger seat and they all work. However the motor for the headrest works but the mechanism that moves the headrest up and down does not move.
Is this an issue with the cable?

First of all we kinda need a MAKE,MODEL,YEAR in your signature or title.(mystery cars make for a long erroneous thread)
I see that the info was inserted into a subsequent post but it speeds up responses when the info is presented initially.
Please find and read ALL TSBs for your car and thousands of questions will be answered because Jaguar knew about most issues decades ago.
Gus has all this info on his site.

I have added the car to my signature. It sure does make it easier to seek help. Appreciate it.
