Thermostate Housing Replacement Question

Thermostate Housing Replacement Question
I am a newbie and am attempting to replace the thermostat housing on my 2005 XK8. I have read many threads concerning the issues, but am wondering if there are any required torques when I reinstall, didn't see any references. Any help will be appreciated.

First of all, welcome to the forum.
You should download JTIS, which is step-by-step instructions for most procedures on your car, complete with torque values. You can get access to JTIS in the DIY sticky at the top of the forum listings.
In the meantime, JTIS says the correct torque for bolting the thermostat housing to the engine block is 9 Nm...just a bit more than finger tight.
