Hi,
Still looking at XKs and thought I'd get some opinions on this one. Looks like a So California car that has wound up in Florida. Is this a good one? Worth making an offer on? Thanks for any thoughts.

Looks like a genuinely nice car. That said, what's the most important number? I don't see a price. Most of their ads appear to have one.
One of the key rules to negotiating is letting the other party start; so I'd personally ask what they want. The seller selling my XKR actually wanted 2k less than what I was going to offer; and I paid 2500 less than what I would have offered if I started. That was enough for 4 tires, timing chain components, every fluid change, new to me wood throughout, and some pocket change for expenses later!

Difficult to see why the vendor should think it's a Victory Edition.
The treadplates, bonnet badge, dash veneer, seats and floor mats are from the standard model.
Looks tidy from the photos and 14 services suggests it's had the right attention.

Is the asking price high. Not certain but I think an XKR in similar condition would go for around the same price. Any thoughts?

I'd try to negotiate this one down over buying that one:

The 8 is a fine car, but I've never regretted having the R over the 8 at absolutely any point.

I contacted the owner of this XKR and I'm waiting on a reply. Since I live in Southern California the car would be within reach. By that I mean I could put my hands on the car and check it out. Originally Posted by 80sRule
