Throttle body adjustment 1999 MY XKR (x100)
Hello out there!
I had my throttle body bored out to 82mm and have repositioned it to get a better air flow on the intake side. It all works but I would like to reposition the elliptical disc that the accelerator cable hooks into. By reposition, I mean to rotate it about 180deg (disregarding the screw adjusted rest position). I added a photo to show how it is at the moment.
To do the job, I will have to loosen the nut and take the black elliptical disc off. The centre hole needs to be reworked (180 deg rotation) and then I can put it back on. I know there are some springs between the throttle body and the elliptical disc that I need to take care of.
-> My question is: Can I remove the black elliptical disc without the inner workings of the throttle body (which i believe are spring loaded) from spinning to a totally wrong position?
Thanks for any advice!
