This car certainly needs constant attention.
Now with less than 30 miles on the car since replacing the coils in addition to a bad fan now I am getting a CEL and a P0441 code every time I drive it. I see it can be anything from a loose gas cap (not the problem) or a disconnected hose or a bad purge valve. Is there a failure that causes this code more than others?

Next Tues a local Exxon station is letting me use their lift so I cab look at all the emissions stuff and take the drivers tire and fender liner out and examine the hoses to the purge valve etc. I will also be able to examine the lines going to the charcoal canisters under the fuel tank. Hopefully it will just be a bad hose somewhere. If it all looks well I order a purge valve.

Had it over to the local Exxon today and spent about an hour tracing hoses and removed the drivers side plastic wheel well liner and examined the purge valve and hose connections etc. Could find nothing visible wrong with any of it. Reset the code prior to taking it there. So far it hasn't come back but only drove it a couple of miles in the rain.
If it comes back again I'll order a purge valve and see if replacing that fixes it.
