Thank you for this post, I purchased a 2002 XKR-100 recently and have always been disappointed with the off the line performance especially when entering the freeway, I just made the adjustment to the throttle cable and the difference is phenomenal, knocked 4 seconds off my 0-60mph time! Easy fix, less that five minutes to do...

Hey, this thread is still making a difference. I'm glad you found the small mod so beneficial!

Anyone who has not performed this two-minute procedure should do so immediately. The reward is usually quite substantial....

Did this simple adjustment to my 2005 XKR today. Moved up two notches and the drivability change is remarkable.......more responsive and feels like an additional 20+ horse power! Many thanks Forum members for this tip.

I need to check this tomorrow, feel my recently acquired xk8 4.2 is underpowered maybe this is the answer?
