Default Throttle body problems

Yesterday I got some good answers to my 1997 Jaguar XK8 problems.
My code was reset but it started again with poor performance and
the yellow light engine fault goes on and off.
I called a friend who works on Jaguars and he said after giving him the code
P1226 most likely the throttle body. He has 1 rebuilt for 400 plus 1 hour labour.
Does that seem like a fair price?
Ph the other code was P111 and can't seem to get an answer for that code.
Thanks
Dave

The P0111 code comes up as

Intake Air Temperature Circuit Range/Performance Problem

- Faulty Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor
- Dirty air filter
- Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor harness is open or shorted
- Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor circuit poor electrical connection

The estimate sounds OK. You might save a few bucks in acquiring a rebuilt TB yourself but not enough to make a real difference.

From your other messages I think you mean P1111, not P111. P1111 is not a fault code in a Jaguar, it means all emissions self-tests have completed.

This should help with the codes.
