Make an interesting thread to see just why people own a Jag. Yes it is a 3rd car but other Jags have been no different. I just like them! Cheap to buy, different, look good, smell nice, drive well....yep I just like Jags.
Only once in my life did my wife and I have an "extra" car. This was back in 2008 when I bought the 2005 XKR to replace my 1995 Corvette. Much to my wife's chagrin (and my joy) the Corvette didn't sell as quickly as she had hoped. This was around the start of the downturn in the economy and nobody was really looking for a "toy" car. So for more than a year I had 2 toys, the Corvette and the Jaguar, and I could never really quite decide which was more fun. The main PITA was that I had a 2 car garage and the Corvette is the car that ended up in the driveway. No big deal but every time I wanted to drive the Jaguar it was like musical chairs moving cars around. Now if I had a 3-car garage I would have (probably unsuccessfully) tried to make the case for keeping all the cars.

I am secretly habouring a wish that my XKR doesn't sell, or else will only sell at a price so low that I can 'morally justify' keeping it.

Finally! The truth comes out. My faith is restored. Here's hoping your wish comes true.

I'll second that.
Frog,
Life's to short not to take time off. I have done the same thing, Thinking I can't leave. I Found out nothing changes if your there or not. It'll all work out, find the time to take the boss out you'll not regret it, and it will give you a good excuse to keep the cat.

Well, thanks for the encouragement, but my wife and I went out for a drive today in the Jag and TBH I find that I am no longer as excited as I used to be by the car. It's fabulous to behold when I return to the car park, but driving it doesn't do it for me any more. Time to move on with fond memories

I found countless inspirations in your numerous contributions to this site, Frog, and I am sure that your legend will live on with us as long as there's any Jaguar enthusiasm left...Now, your car is a jewel to behold that should not end up in hands of any abuser...Time to go and enjoy the view of that infinite edge pool with you wife...
Make sure to drop some lines down once in while .
Godspeed!!!

That just means it is time for a twin screw kit.

Frog,
2 summers ago my wife and I visited Santorini. Here's a link for the hotel where we've stayed: Chromata Hotel (Santorini/Imerovigli, Greece) - Hotel Reviews - TripAdvisor
We've enjoyed the island a great deal as I am sure so will you and your wife.
You have a beautiful automobile (I am obviously referring to your Jaguar, not the VW ) and I should know, as I have one just like that - in that same color combo too.
I regret your decision to sell and am certain that the decision was not an easy one for you to make, knowing through your posts how much you adore that car. Thank you for your contribution. Au revoir for now and hope to see your posts here again soon.

I believe I could repeat all the positive things that others have said, Frog. Your contributions have been well received... Thank you & best of luck to you!
