Default TransGo Pressure Relief Valve Installation Tip

Installed valve, put pan back on and started flush. Couldn’t get out of park. First thought I had screwed something up with the shifter because I had just replaced a cracked plate. Pulled pan. Figured out piston where fits into linkage was crooked (first pic) and jammed against the channel. Second pic shows correctly aligned.

Yes, I also got caught out by that

...upside is I got the first trans flush in early

Great. I installed mine yesterday and now am worried that I did it incorrectly! And since I'm on jackstands till my new suspension comes in I'll fret for a week!

Without out starting car, turn to on and press brake. If can move shifter through right side of J gate did correctly.
