Transit Isolation Module Location
Howdy Folks:
Would someone tell me exactly where the Transit Isolation Module is located. My understanding from the wiring diagram is that it is adjacent to the battery, but I am not finding it nor its associated connectors if it has been removed. I suspect a leaking current through its internal 25 amp fuse that may be causing my battery drain. Thanks for any help.

That's interesting. I went out into the garage to see if I could find it and I found this thing (in the pic below). It's plugged into a big fat harness that runs parallel to battery and it has two red wires with white stripes plugged into it. I've looked through the electrical guide to see if I can figure out what it is, but I still have no idea. However, when I unplug it everything dies. Everything electrical quits working.
Thanks for the PDF. That eliminates my leak being in that circuit or the body processor module circuit, leaving only the passenger door module circuit (driver side checked OK). I did not realize that both door module fuses were removed for shipping. Again thanks a million.

That's weird. After I pulled it, I had to reset my windows and set the time zone on the nav system.
I believe you (it is a Jag after all) but I had it out for 15 minutes and my windows did not lose their set.

Make sure you have a good battery first. A bad one will go down fast.
When the engine is cold the altenator should be cold too. If it is warm or hot; your power is going out there.
Use a test light on your fuses to see if any are hot when they should be off.

Oh... I know what happened. Earlier in the day I was fiddling with my door handle gaskets and I disconnected the battery to avoid cutting off my hands accidentally. Last night I pulled that little diode thing out and the trunk lights went out. I assumed it had killed everything electrical, so after I plugged it back in and went to see if my windows had lost their memory, which they had. I assumed that it was because of the little thing I unplugged, but in retrospect I realize that memory loss was caused by the work I did earlier in the day.
Several of us have been ******* down reluctant boot lights, mine have a mind of their own. This could be a clue. Thanks.
