Default Transmission oil spec

Correct oil for the merc box please is it semi synthetic or fully ?

I can't answer your question, except to say there is no downside to using the fully synthetic version of two products . Longevity is what you are paying extra for.

Chrysler NAG1 and Mercedes 722.6 gearbox are nearly identical. Call a Chrysler dealer and get the fluid?????

My vote goes to full synthetic.

I did a lot of research, checking the Mercedes forums, etc. The fluid I selected is Valvoline Max Life Multi-Vehicle ATF. The data sheet is pretty comprehensive. See attached.

Used it, @2500 miles no problems.

So many options, I've used Mobil ATF 134 for years now.

Here is a list of oils you can use:
