I wonder why the don't offer the diesel model in the US and the 470HP supercharged model in the UK.

Default Engine origins

What are the origins of the new 5.0 AJ-V-8 Gen III engine? Is it an evolution of the previous 4.2 AJ-V8?

FYI-today's NYTimes had a nice article about the new XJ8 and said the engine is actually sourced from Ford. I don't have a problem with that, but is it true?

From what I have read the new 5 litre petrol engine has direct fuel injection into the cylinders just like a diesel, unlike the previous engine where the fuel was injected into the inlet ports. This means it is more economical and also less polluting. Still a lot of fuel compared to a diesel, though !!

Default Amazing

Looks great. They have done a really good job this time. So much different than my XJ8 2001. There is this good review website for cars.
