Tread plate
The car needs some welding so i need to remove the carpet, but i can't see how to remove the tread plate. I don't really want to prise it off at the moment if that's not the way to remove it. Many thanks. Ant.
It's glued on.
This is the relevant section from JTIS:
Warming gently will help soften the adhesive and a plastic trim tool is the best thing to lift an end although a credit cars will do the job.
I prefer to use a length of fishing line or thin strimmer cord with a sawing motion between the scuff plate and the body panel to release it.
