Turn Signal

Turn Signal
MY turn signal pace has been fluctuating on the dashboard when I use them, from normal (slow) to fast and back. I've changed bulbs, but it seems to come back. When I disarm the car from my remote, sometimes one of the flashers won't flash. I'm thinking it's a turn signal electronic flasher. I found the model my car accepts, Tridon EP34 and they are pretty cheap.
I just want to know if you guys think this is the problem, and also, where the heck is electronic flasher located? Is this something I can get to easily? Or something else to throw my mechanic's way.
Thanks

I don'tknow where the flasher relay is but it sounds like it is on the right side of the steering column behind the "knee plate". Here is what I found in the JTIS.... If an indicator bulb fails, the warning lamp and ticking operate at twice the normal rate. You might have a bulb or socket that has some corrosion causing the problem to be intermitant.

Just for piece of mind, when I was reading your description I was thinking turn signal relay also. For a diagnosis, try the hazard button. Usually the hazard and turn signals are on 2 different relays. If hazard works normal and turn signal are out of phase, then likely turn signal relay.

I had problems with the turn signals on my car. Turned out to be a wire problem. But what I found is this:
Turn signal switch feeds the Body Processor Module (grounds the appropriate pin)
Body Processor Module output goes directly to the lamps.
There are no relays. The sound you hear is from the Audible Warning Control. Also part of the BPM. It supplies the different sounds for:
Turn signal
Hazard Warning
Valet Mode Warning
Not in Park Warning
Etc Etc
I checked the wiring Diagram for your car Vs mine. They are wired the same.
Wiring diagrams are available on this site/ Or I can send a Diag. It is a PDF.
