Perhaps the loudspeaker in the steering column has expired.

Don't all the status sounds go through that speaker?

Ignition off - move shifter towards reverse = Ping ping
Keys in ingition - open drivers door (ding ding)
headlights on - keys out of ignition (ding ding)

If I'm right, that'll show you if the speaker is working at all.

Did what you said, I got no ding ding. Is speaker in dash or steering column?

The Audible Warning Speaker is in the column cowl (#4 in the diagram Part # LXF2280AA) listed in JEPC.

Wink Jaguar ignition key cutting/coding

McGuire Lock & Safe - Kansas, locksmith named Josh cut keys for me and did the job right the first time. Must have correct chip in your key that directly matches your model vehicle / make or the newly cut key will fail after the dealer attempts to program it. $87.50 for programming 3 keys at dealer.
Keys available on ebay, see below link:
http://stores.ebay.com/BBB-Car-Key-L...p2047675.l2563
