Welcome John, you've come to the right place. Plenty of helpful, knowledgeable people here.

Get ready for a moderator to have you go to the new member link and officially sign in. Suggest you jump over to the regional link for Texas and intro yourself there as well. You'll see more info on things of local interest there.

Welcome John. Glad to have a new East Texas member. The one thing that I have found is that reading the forum and meeting guys on line has enhanced the fun of Jag ownership by a great amount. It is helpful. Entertaining. And just fun to browse now and then. And the people maintaining this site are incredible and you can always depend on them to help. You will also find that Motorcarman has a great Jag shop in Decator, Tx not very far from you. He is extremely helpful. Always responds to questions.

Have fun. That's what it is all about

Welcome to the Forum. I live in Denton so we're not too far away. This is a great forum, best on the Internet.

For work I can't do myself, I use motorcarman in Decatur. He is a regular on the forum and does excellent work for a reasonable price. Worth the drive.

I haven't used them in at least 10 years, but Jag Mac in Dallas has a good reputation. The father may be hard to understand (Scottish?), but he knows his Jags. There is a website.

I would like to remove the front plate bracket from my 2005 xK8 that will require some minor body repair. Any recommendations in the DFW area? Thx,

Any competent body shop should be able to fill in the holes. Or you could plug them with generic rubber pieces from AutoZone.

However, be careful. After decades of driving cars without a front plate in North Texas, I have been stopped twice in the last year. The last time resulted in a ticket, so now I run one up front attached by tie wraps. Invisible until you get within 2 feet or so.

Welcome, neighbor! There are several of us in the DFW area. And several more you'll pass on the road and yell out, "hey, are you on JaguarForums?" and they say, "no, sorry- have a good one!". Give us a wave anyway.

Also agreed on motorcarman outside of Decatur to our west. Worth the drive. Superlative experience, unbeatable pricing, friendly guy. I'm there about once a year to catch up on stuff I don't have time for anymore.
