Need some advise? My XK8 is running on the old 17" star fish alloys which is great as I like the look and to be honest do not have a large enough wallet to get new alloys however, issue is the front tyres have worn out and living in New Zealand obtaining 245/50/17 tyres is near impossible and one I found was over $700 which is steep for a tyre and a rip off.

Can anyone advise of an alternative size that will work on these rims? the roads here are crap therefore driving over 140Kph is besides breaking the law commiting suicide so any advice??

I don't know if we'll be much help, what's available over there may be much different than here in the US. I hope some of our international members can help you out Kevo-onthe-toilet. May be cheaper to put some other rims from a salvaged XK, maybe 18s to help with the tire purchases now and in the future.

Thought of new rims however, there are no orginal XK8 ones in NZ too rare. Does anyone have a suggestion on a good looking rim and tyre combination 18 or 19 inch I guess?
