Default U1261 Code

Another issue. I pulled a U1261 code warning using expensive scanner. Would this in any way be causing Traction Control light to come on and what is fix?

U1261
IC Instrument Cluster SCP - circuit failure
Control Module Pin FC25-14

Possible Causes
SCP -ve circuit: open circuit, short circuit to B+ voltage, short circuit to ground

ABS is on the CAN bus and the INSTPK DTC U1261 will will not set the Malfunction Indicator Lamp.

Would it have anything to do with a Traction Control warning out of the blue after riding for at least an hour?

A hard fault will log a DTC in the ABS module. (C (chassis) code)

In laymen's terms, I am still lost on this. All of the instrument panel gauges and lights are working fine. Just threw a Traction Control warning after driving for close to an hour. Stopped for about 20 minutes, cranked and one mile later threw code and lost power. I pulled over, turned off, cranked and drove another 30 minutes home.
Days later, driving around checking codes and then came home noticing fluid leak on driveway. My son noticed the transmission cooler (I think) pipe was very loose and leaking. In the shop now for re-fill of fluid as I do not know how much was lost. Would that leak cause a TC warning?

Are you saying the U1261 is the code in question?

A traction control warning would come from a wheel sensor not reading properly, or potentially an internal gearbox sensor not reading (or even a low battery). On the face of it nothing to do with the U1261 code which might have been sitting around in your computer for years without you noticing.
