Ug DVD NAV pump tower in trunk
Was removing the fill bolt on the hydraulic pump and dropped my wrench. Down the wheel well it went.
Have tried to reach it with a magnet but no joy.
So other than the 4 bolts that are easily seen, what holds that tower in place and how do you get to it?
Still search the disc to see if this is covered. So much for finishing the job today and testing it.

There's a sort of tongue that extends down from the back (most outboard) side of the tower and goes down a bit into the wheel well. In other words the bottom of the tongue is below the surface where the four "easy" bolts are found. It has a bolt securing the bottom of it, same size as the other four I believe.
Trying to fish out the wrench with a magnet right now.

Absolutely Murphy's law. I wish I had a nickel for every time I was working on a car and a nut or fitting or some connector dropped down into the Twilight Zone. You might try using one of those mirrors at the end of a stick to try and see where the wrench ended up and once you see it you can try with one of those long grabber-type gizmos or put some gum or sticky stuff at the end of a rod, etc.
Good luck!
