Made the mistake of insuring through admiral, even though I've heard some horror stories. Four months ago suffered some damage and they wanted to write her off, I said no she's eminently repairable.

However it's pretty clear that they have no intention of actually getting her repaired so seeing as the neighbours are threatening to go to the police over where she's parked ( tow truck just plonked her under a particularly sappy tree and ran off) I've asked for a quote on writing her off.

So what is the book value for an X100 XKR Coupe with about 70k miles these days? I assume they'll try to con me.

 

I would say about £10k depending on condition, at least with Admiral I have mine insured at £10k as the value. A little bit of rust is to be expected so even with a but I woudl say £10k is a good amount. I wouldn't be happy with anything less then that to be honest as there are many examples at that number or higher.

 

We buy any car will give me £250 for my 97 Coupe.
The value of anything is what you can sell it for ......

 

I suspect the Ombudsman would be involved pretty quickly @ £250.
