i have those now but for some reason jaguar didnt run the wiring to our passenger side. I'm not up for tracking a wiring loom down to attach. Plus, the set I got off ebay looks so cheap.

 

in the engine bay, near the strut, there is a free connector which is the one to connect with the side marker (I was also wondering about that missing connector)

Well I am one of those tasteless geezers, on Australia Day it will have the addition of southern cross stars for one week only like the Aussie Flag. I like it, and it always gets thumbs up, salutes and waves from passers by. Makes driving a jag more fun.

 

If they do, it's news to me. I've looked at every website, called every parts supplier, and even asked my dealer. No go. They all say their listings only show red or green. The older rectangle shape do come in black bit they don't look right.
If you see a set, let me know.

I wouldn't do anything too expensive too quickly - if Scotland goes independent next year, our Union Flag will cease to be a "union flag" and will / may (????) revert to the Cross of St. George (Red Cross on White Background) except we'll probably decide to keep the Welsh happy by adding a couple of Dragons and a Leek as well.

Phil Here's the web site where you can purchase black and silver side fender leapers they are for the Silverstone they list both right and left. I have seen them on other XKR's besides the Silverstone even in the brochures.

I'm dumbfounded!! I've looked everywhere for black leaper badges. Called two dealers and gaudin jaguar parts, jag heaven parts, even contacted Sturgess Jaguar and Adamesh and all said the same thing. The only came in green or red. Well, if my Union Jack markers don't work, I'll order them. Since I'm changing my car color, I'm waiting to see it painted before I put anything back on.

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed the recent influx of china made jaguar badges, center wheel caps, and leapers on ebay lately. I mean a set of factory looking XK8 red growler caps for around 20.00? I goth them and not jaguar parts but look great. Came from china.

 

I just got my Union Jack center caps and they are genuine Jaguar parts...

 

I'll bet that driving it around upside down gets a lot of attention too! LOL

 

Haven't sent these copied yet, mostly the xk8 badge and the new Xf style growlers in crazy colors.

Bummed I paid 75.00 for the four badges and this other side is 13.00+ each.

Found something interesting though. Check out this 2001 XR coupe concept from Frankfurt motor show. The side vents are Union Jacks!
