I have the original DVD Alpine disk in my 2001 XKR. I am thinking of upgrading to Jag part No. C2N3030, it is a 2003 DVD.
Does anyone know whether it is worth the investment for this update. I would like to know the main differences in the firmware. I know the startup screen loses the leaper and an analog clock is displayed, but does the nav displays change? Will I see differences in how the Nav works?
new disk is about $300 so I want to make sure I get something better for the money.

I have the 2003 dvd in my 2003 xk and am not all that happy - the map information is clearly outdated. If you come across a 2006 or 2007 version (and I'm not sure they exist) you are better off. If nothing else try eBay for the DVD and save off the $300 dealer price.
