Still haven't received my xk8 yet so asked dealer to send close up of what I thought might be a small flaw in the center cup holder. That was ok but picture showed the original tape radio was gone and replaced with an aftermarket one and a wire coming out of the dash to probably hook up an I pod. BUMMER!!! Just guessing this is going to be a nightmare trying to put it back to original. Rest of car looks perfect including underside. I know pictures can lie. Any suggestions on finding a original radio?

I would wait until you get the car before you buy a used Factory radio, mainly because you need to see what was done to get the aftermarket radio working - you need to check the wiring and what kind of hack job was done. The factory radio may be the alpine unit with the proprietary communication link to the trunk mounted amp. If so, you don't know what the prevoious owner might have done to get the aftermarket radio to work. You don't even know if the factory amp was left in (it is more likely a replacement amp was installed, or no amp at all.
