Default Upgrade sound system

Hello, I wonder if anyone has MTX SS7 speakers in an XK8 coupe. The SS7 6.5” speaker hasa mounting depth of 2.83”. Are the front doors wide enough for this. Thank you.

Steve, I bet you are going to be ok but it's so easy to check you should do so.

The door speaker grill is held on with one sheet metal screw on bottom of grill. Unscrew that and remove grill.

You now have access to speaker. Just unscrew and measure.

See the window and it's rails drop down behind speaker.

Friendly warning: speakers have magnets it will suck that screwdriver right into the cone if it slips. I can't tell you how many of us myself included said ah till never happen to me. . .WHAM, screwdriver right through the cone ruined day! Fwiw I cup my fingers around the screw to protect when working with speaker mounting screws.

John
