My wife has asked me to look into upgrading her cup holder on the 2003 XKR.

The holder is factory, as works as well as can be expected. She says cups fit but they are not stable.

That said, there are ancient threads (10+ years old) about a wood replacement that was privately made. Anyone have any idea where I can get one or other suggestions?

Ok. I'm loving this!!! I'm wondering why I couldn't use the existing lid?
I don't even use the interior hardly anyway, every time I touch the lid the existing cup holder pops,open ARGH!!!!

 

I was thinking maybe if I get the non Cupholder lid, it may be an easy conversion and then recover. The inside only has some sunscreen in my car. Only thing may be height (have to bolster up the top of the lid)?

I don't see any non-magnet, non-Cupholder, lids on eBay just now though.

Gezzzzzz, Mike. For that kind of money to hold a cup, you could hire someone to sit in the other seat and hold your drink for you. Isn't that what a wife if for???? Just kidding girls----

 

In my case I bought the cup holders (they are built for hot rods) then took them to an Upholstery shop and had the arm rest rebuilt around them. Was really very pleased with the result but they don't hold big cups, but hold Starbucks just fine.
