Long story here...

Had an accident with my cherished 2002 XKR, she spent 2-1/2 weeks in the body shop and they did an amazing job, she looks great again! I noticed that the airbag light remained on so, they brought her back in to address that. They ordered the replacement module that the dealer right around the corner specified, they installed the module and flashed the car, the module turned out to be bad from the start so.... Second module ordered and, the car was driven to the dealership where everything would be corrected...

One excuse after another....they finally got the airbag light taken care of but, now the car won't start! There has never been a problem with the car starting!.... Received news that they tried replacing virtually every control module in the car, double checked the whole wireing harness, and now...AFTER A MONTH! have it narrowed down to the security system... They are reluctant to order a replacement module as it costs $1700.00 and without my approval, they would have to eat it if it's not the right module. So...they've been waiting for another similar car to come in that they could " borrow" a module from (I was lead to believe someone else's car maybe in for other service) to test in my car before ordering a new one! Then they expect me to pay for the damage they've done.

My impression is that this dealer is as incompetent and dishonest as can be. The scariest part is that it's one of the largest dealers in a very affluent area (Miami) and I HATE seeing Jaguar being brought down by scum like this. I'm disgusted and in the process of obtaining legal aid in reference to this.

My take is that the car was driven there, they drove on the lot there moving it a few times and now, after they were probing around trying to figure out how to take care of the airbag light, now, it doesn't start..... I also wonder if they didn't take some modules out of my car to test in others as this seems to be a common practice here which may have also done damage to mine....

I just needed to vent.... I'm sure that this is not accepted by Jaguar, does anyone have contact information with Jaguar USA that I should relay his horror story to?

I complained once to the President of Tata Motors; got his email from their web site. A week later, I got a call from Jaguar USA. If I were you, I'd send my story right to the top.

Post the dealerships name exactly as it appears on its web site in your title.

I did when my car went to Park Place Bodywerkz and they saw my post here and made it all better!

I'll wait to name the dealer until after I've secured legal advice, things down here can get ugly and I'm not allowing any ammunition to be collected
