Default Vacuum line removal

Trying to remove the vacuum line at the throttle body LHD car, the line goes to the brake booster

I can depress the serrated tabs on the connect but it won’t pull off

any tips or tricks to get it disconnected

I hate those connectors. When they're new they work, but when they age the plastic gets soft and squeezing it does little.

Note the edge of the nipple. The clip has ears that slide over the edge, preventing the connector from backing out, The trick is to slide a small flat blade screwdriver, or similar, between the part with the "ear" and the nipple, then pull the ear clear of the edge. Sometimes you can do one side, and rock the connector to get the ear above the edge, and then the other side. Sometimes you have to use two screwdrivers and pry both sides apart and then twist and wiggle the connector free. You'll figure out your own correct method.

My friend who runs a BMW/Audi shop showed me this, because German iron is chock full of these things. He's amazingly good at it, I'm all thumbs.

I had another go this morning and got it off

I used an angled pair of long pliers to depress the tabs and pulled REALLY HARD and it came out, lots of WD40 used.

Now just got to get the connector off of the MAP sensor, any clues on that?

Thanks for your help
